Our straws are 100% compostable and made with 100% plant-based ingredients from renewable resources.
Our Straws will not become soggy like paper straws, has a smoother texture, and will not impart any paper taste or flavor. Our Straws do not have any coatings and we do not use any dyes — which are common characteristics in paper straws.
Yes. Our Straws are certified to be 100% compostable. Please visit our Certifications page for all of our certifications and registrations with independent third-parties.
Not at all! Our Sugarcane Straws are guaranteed and third-party tested and certified to not contain the following plastics or plasticizers: no polystyrene (PS) no polyethylene (PE) no polypropylene (PP) no polyvinyl chloride (PVC) no polyethylene terephthalate (PET, PETE).
Our Straws should be stored in a cool and dry environment away from sunlight. Heat and humidity will affect its durability and performance.
Our Straws should be used in cold or lukewarm liquids. We do not recommend use in hot liquids as this will affect the Straw’s durability and performance.
To ensure quick and maximum degradation, we recommend our straws be collected in composting bins and sent to composting facilities where they will naturally degrade into nutrient-rich organic materials. If no composting bins are available at your location, our straws will take longer to degrade naturally compared to commercial composting
